Stadium Goods merch spanned across t shirts, hoodies, and jackets - combining inspiration behind all the involved partners to give a physical medium to the history of hip hop. I utilized recognizable blacketter type and a confident graphic style that spoke the same language as the event itself.
Print + Fabrication Design
The step and repeat for the VMA pop up was a key activation point for the event -to represent the wide array of partners and heroing Bacardí’s involvement. A splatter effect was used on their bat emblem as a call back to graffiti paint drip that defined early hip hop aesthetics.
All printed material found in the venue builds on the history of hip hop, alongside Bacardí’s signature, blending textures and distinct typography to tie the visual world together.
History in the Details
Metropolis provided vintage apparel that fit into one of three time periods - 80’s, 90’s, and Y2K. Each section included an overhead graphic with a quote calling our Bacardí, providing a dose of lyrical nostalgia to casual viewers and serious shoppers alike.
